Leander Games have created a fun and quirky theme based around the world of magic and potions, making the Potion Factory slot machine worth a spin?
We have to say, if you are a fan of bright, colourful, and detailed slot themes, much like you’ll find in Jack and the Beanstalk slot then you’re going to love this game.
Each slot symbol is different, with 3 wizards, the green and pink PF symbol, the magical potion wild, and even the A – 9 symbols are nicely done, each represented by a different coloured and shaped potion bottle.
Leander Games have stayed true to form, creating a slot game in the Potion Factory that is graphically detailed and animated. But those factors aren’t what brings these 5×4 reels alive. That would be the special ‘Nudge’ feature and multi level bonus games.
The extended wilds can create some decent winning combinations throughout the base game. They’ll extend to cover the whole of the reel and show up often enough to add a little extra to your bank roll.
However, what generally makes more of a difference to your wallet is ‘The Nudge’ feature. You will have to turn this feature on to use it and, be warned, it will cost you 40 times your line bet.
But is it worth it you ask? Oh definitely. The Nudge feature is there to give you the best possible outcome, creating bigger paying combinations of symbols.
Turn it on and you’ll see reels 2 and 4 glow with a pinky, purple border. When there is a possibility of a win those reels will nudge up or down by 1, 2, or 3 symbols to create a win where possible.
A good feature that’s best used if you can afford to, though it does raise the already high minimum bet of 0.40 up to 0.80 per spin.
This is where you’ll get the biggest wins of the game. They have three different bonus games, ranging from instant cash wins, to free spins, and pick me bonuses.
Simply find 3 of the red bonus symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5, and you trigger the bonus screen.
You will then spin a wheel to enter one of the two bonus games, or win an instant cash prize. Hit ‘End Bonus’ and your turn ends, hit Advance and you move on to the next level where the bonus prizes are increased.
What’s good is that you’ll trigger the bonus games every 20 – 40 spins or so in the base game.
Keeping the action constant, and a real ‘edge of your seat’ feeling.
This is a fun and animated pick me bonus game where you simply pick and combine potions to reveal cash prizes.
Find the right magic formula and you will turn the wizard from being scrawny and height challenged, to muscly and tall.
This has to be the best of the bonus games and the one we enjoyed the most. On level 1 you’ll get 5 – 8 free spins, level 2 gives you 8 – 11, and level 3 will provide you with 12 – 15 free spins.
What’s great is that even though you don’t get extended wilds like you do in the base game, or the Nudge feature to help you create winning bet lines, you do get sticky wilds.
And with the right combination of wilds and symbols, you can see some wins upwards of 90x your bet, which we experienced more than once.
With a minimum bet of 0.40 per spin without the special Nudge feature (which is kind of needs), this game is not as welcoming for some slots players as the likes of Royal Masquerade slot with it’s 0.10 per spin.
Yet, neither is it for super high betters with a maximum of 40 cash per spin. It’s for those in-between, who like the thrill of a spin, and constant action whether in the form of expanding wilds or multiple bonus games.
With a 94.95% RTP, this medium to high variance slot machine, much like the 7 Lucky Dwarfs slot from the same provider, is here to provide you with some entertaining spins.
Yet there’s always a chance to win big, even if it’s not as obvious as with games like the Dolly slot.
Still, this is a fun and quirky game. The Potion Factory slot game is worth a spin or two, so you can create the perfect magical potion to top up your casino balance.
