Thor is the hero of the game

He gives you two reasons to like him even more in the base game.

You’ll trigger the first of the bonus features if you find a whole stack of wilds on reel 2. Thor will then appear clutching his trusty hammer and you’ll get a free re-spin with the reel 2 covered in wilds.

A little bonus that has produced some great winning combinations, and certainly gives our hero more to do than in the Avengers online slot.

The second, but harder to find in our opinion, is getting a stacked reel of wilds on reel 4. If you manage to do this Thor will throw his hammer at you and award you with one free spin.

That’s fairly theoretical, as we’ve rarely gotten more than a couple of wilds at a time ourselves.

This is where this game gets interesting. If you manage to find a whole reel of Heimdall (the golden guy with the big sword) you get to choose one of two golden orbs.

Here you get 5 oddly shaped reels and the symbols that appear on them differ slightly too.

For example the wild symbol comes stacked on all, except for in reel 3 where you’ll only get Heimdall and singular wild symbols.

If these symbols become part of a winning combo during the spins you get multipliers of 2, 4, 8 or 16 times, depending on how many are used.

These are not wilds, mind you, just normal symbols with multipliers.

Two Heimdall symbols on reel 3 will end the round and transport you back to the bridge where you get to choose an orb again to either renter the free spins or head back to Asgard.

Jotunheim Free Spins

These are much like the earth games except the frost giant symbol appears on all reels and acts as another wild symbol.

If this symbol is used in a winning combo it will freeze the other symbols for the next spin, which guarantees the same win again or better.

What’s great is that both of these Thor slot free spins allow you to keep spinning for far longer then expect.

That said, though technically it’s unlimited free spins, in reality it usually ends up averaging out at around 20 – 25 spins before you head back to Asgard for a rest from your hero duties.
